General English 1
- Learners build their basic English skills through simple, everyday topics. Reading lessons help learners understand signs, short texts, and basic instructions using fun activities like matching, and group tasks. In Writing, learners study how to build clear sentences, fill out forms, and write short messages. Speaking lessons focus on useful conversations like introducing yourself or asking for help, using role-plays, flashcards, and pronunciation practice. Listening tasks include short dialogues and instructions, helping learners know how to catch important words and respond correctly.
General English 2
- Learners develop their skills through real-life topics and practical activities. In Reading, they explore texts like articles and short stories while learning how to find key information and understand meaning. Writing lessons focus on organising ideas into clear paragraphs and essays, with support through brainstorming and feedback. Speaking classes help learners feel more confident in conversations and group discussions, using role-plays, debates and pronunciation practice. For Listening, learners work on understanding everyday conversations and short talks by learning to take notes, predict content, and focus on key details.
Assessment
The course uses a combination of formative and summative assessments to support learner progress and measure overall English proficiency. Formative assessments are conducted weekly through unit tests, allowing learners to demonstrate their understanding of the skills covered in class. Every 10 weeks, a summative level test is administered to assess learner’s overall proficiency and determine their suitability to progress to the next level.
