Entry requirements
KCBT provides flexible entry pathways. To enrol in our courses you need to meet the following criteria:
1. General Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old at the start of the course.
- English Proficiency
2. English Language Proficiency
- Provide an internationally recognised test score
- Provide a certificate from a previous English speaking education provider
- Pass KCBT’s placement test
3. Specifics for English & PTE Courses
- General English Courses
- - 18+ years old
- - Meet entry English level through test, certificate, or placement test
- PTE (Pearson Test of English) Prep Course
- - 18+ years old
- - Existing intermediate English required or pass placement test
4. Visa Requirements (International Students)
- If you are an international student, you need to provide:
- - Proof of academic history and past educational qualifications
- - Proof of English proficiency as above
- - Meet financial and visa conditions set by Australian authorities and KCBT
5. Financial Requirements
- Payment of application fee
- Proof of ability to cover tuition and living costs (for international students)
Applications for Admission
To apply to KCBT, complete the Student Application form. Include personal details, passport and visa information if applicable, address, emergency contact, academic history, and proof of English proficiency.
Important Information
- Before submitting your application, review all Student Information documents, including academic requirements, student services, and wellbeing policies.
- Familiarise yourself with visa conditions if you are an international student: full-time study, attendance, and visa regulations.
- International applicants must provide evidence of financial support, health insurance, academic transcripts, and meet English language requirements.
Further Study & Pathways
- After successfully completing a KCBT qualification, you may be eligible to apply for higher level courses or further studies.
- Academic staff will advise you on pathways and options relevant to your goals.
Changes in Circumstances
- If your course can no longer be offered on the date you chose, KCBT will inform you in advance and offer alternative options.
- Requests for deferral, suspension, or cancellation of enrolment are considered under certain conditions if you cannot start on time or need to temporarily pause.
International Student Details
- A Letter of Offer and Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) will be issued after you meet entry requirements and pay required fees.
- International students must maintain satisfactory academic progress and comply with student visa requirements.
- Keep KCBT updated with any changes in your address or contact details while enrolled.
